Alexey Gordienko

I was born in Khabarovsk, USSR/Russia, in 1985.

I graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2007.

Ph.D. in Mathematics (2009), Habilitation in Mathematics (2021).

Starting from December 2021 I am a Professor of Mathematics in the Department of Higher Algebra of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia.

Previous positions:

Awards and prizes: Shuvalov prize (2023).

Ph.D. supervision:

In 2012–2017 I supervised (co-supervision with Eric Jespers) Ph.D. student Geoffrey Janssens who successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis «Identities of Affine Algebras and Their Asymptotic Behaviour» at Vrije Universiteit Brussel on May 19, 2017. Geoffrey was awarded BeNeLux Ph.D. Prize 2016.
